I show up to Launch Up because I really want to see people here working on amazing things.

In the last 5 years, I have thought about two things more than anything else. How to make software, and how to grow businesses. I try to ask questions I think will help people understand their business and their opportunities. I don’t know everything, but I am not naive about startups, especially software startups.

So far, I’ve had some success. I haven’t had the success of someone like Josh Coates, but I will. I know I will. I know my Y, and my X and things are progressing.

I’ve also learned that just being willing to raise your hand, raise your voice, get out of your chair, be that guy (or girl) and make things happen, puts you ahead of most people. (Be a linchpin, if you like that metaphor.)
