Well, LaunchUp #1 is all done. We had a great event. Around 70 people attended in person at Doba in Orem, and about another 30 participated online.
You can watch an archive of the entire event online:LaunchUp 1 or by going to http://doba.acrobat.com/p82968254/
I think for our first event, things went OK. Had some glitches (sorry Ryan and EnticeLabs for the video snafu–both their videos, which are awesome BTW: TalentSeekr Intro Video), but all in all, I think things went well. Watch for some format changes and improvements for sure next time. If you have ideas to help improve the event, email me at: jeremy @ jeremyhanks . com
We had a great event listening to Ben Peterson talk about the PPC: people, priorities, cash. And tell us that “cash is more important than your mother” and to “ignore the economy and get to work”.
We tried to learn more about and then help TweetBooty and EnticeLabs. We’ll report back on those businesses at the next LaunchUp.
We need people and organizations to help LaunchUp. We’ve got our Barn Builders page to fill. We also need barns (startups) for our next event that will be Wednesday April 22nd.
Thanks so much for everyone who came, and especially for everyone who helped out: Ben Peterson, Brock Blake, Chris Knudsen, Stewart Goodwin, Clark Winegar, Tweetbooty Team, Ryan and Entice Labs, and Meagen Ridley.
See you next month! More details on that soon.
